This is a known problem if you look back, experienced by a lot of people!
Following is the message I get when I try to bring up My MSN:
Your request could not be processed at this time, please refresh this page
or try again later.

I am running XP with IE8 on my main computer. On my backup computer
running XP with IE7 I can bring up My MSN.
Thanks, CDR
What doesn't work? I'm looking at http://my.msn.com in IE8 right now on a
Vista
machine.

Greetings,

I checked with the my.msn.com team and they are unable to reproduce this
issue. In the past, this error occurred when there was an issue with
cookies. Can you try the following?
1) Delete all of your cookies by going to Tools - Internet Options - General
Tab and then clicking Delete under Browsing History. Try accessing
http://my.msn.com again.

If the error still occurs, please verify that IE is configured to accept
cookies by doing the following:

1) Go to Tools - Internet Options
2) Click the Privacy tab
3) Verify that the Settings for the Internet zone is NOT set to either Block
all Cookies or High.

The my.msn.com team verified on XP using IE 8 version 8.0.6001.18702. What
version of IE8 are you using? This can be found by clicking on the Help menu
in IE and selecting About Internet Explorer. Note: if you do not see the
Help menu, try pressing the Alt key.

Thank you,

Several people were having this problem last fall and many
of them had given up and went to alternate home pages.
MS acknowledged the problem at the time and said they
hoped to have it solved early this year.
I delete my cookies regularly and my TIFs daily.
I am using IE 8 version 8.0.6001.18702.
My security settings are all at default and always have been.
I have changed nothing from the time it was working until now.
Thanks, CDR

Try the following:
Open IE.
Go to Tools/Internet Options
Go to Advanced
Click on the "reset" button at the lower right of the tab.
Try accessing my.msn.com

Additional questions:
1. Any custom Hosts file?
2. What security software are you running?

I do recall that people were reporting issues with http://my.msn.com some time
back, but that was around the time that they were making changes to the page.
Modules were removed and content was added.
In any event, I just successfully loaded the same http://my.msn.com cusomized
page on my XP machine that has IE8 on it.
Have you deleted cookies and temporary Internet files lately?

I don't recall that issue being widespread by 'a lot of people'. As others have mentioned there were some issues with changes being
made to My.Msn.com.

Have you attempted to resort to IE7/6 and back to IE8 to determine if it works in the former and not(again) in the latter ?

Have you tried disabling 'Use Http 1.1. and Use Http 1.1 through proxy connections on IE's Properties/Advanced tab ? If not try it.
