Hi Everyone,

I use MSN Premium ( BYOA ) since my Cable ISP does NOT offer MSN, so I am
having to pay for it on my own.

But I am having alot of crashes with MSN Explorer 10.0

Loading Image...

I know that, or I have saw ( Some of the posts on this message board )
that some of you think that its kind of Redundant to pay 9.95 for MSN when
we have broadband but I have tried every browser out there and I find this
works the best for me so far besides the couple of crashes that I get every
once in awhile.

I get it mostly ( The crash ) when I am on facebook and I am trying to
play an APP and thats when it happens:

I would like to know if any one else out there is having any issues with
flash apps and if so, what did you do to fix it. What are my choices to fix
it?

Thanks,
Christopher

Usually, when MSN Explorer crashes a whole bunch, the solution that seems to
resolve it most of the time is a full reinstall. Another possibility would be to
clear the local accounts, forcing a refresh with Ctrl-Shift-F11 at the login
screen. You can also contact MSN Support - http://support.msn.com

Does the same occur when using IE(not MSn Explorer) ?

fyi...considering anti-spamming your email address(in OE under account properties) when posting to a public forum to avoid your
email address from being harvested by spammers and marketers(to send mail to you and using your email address to send mail to
others with falsified email headers)

Usually, when MSN Explorer crashes a whole bunch, the solution that seems to
resolve it most of the time is a full reinstall. Another possibility would be to
clear the local accounts, forcing a refresh with Ctrl-Shift-F11 at the login
screen. You can also contact MSN Support - http://support.msn.com
Have you checked to make sure that Flash is up to date by going to the Adobe
site? Do you have any issues with Flash if you use IE and not MSN Explorer?

Hi Everyone,
I use MSN Premium ( BYOA ) since my Cable ISP does NOT offer MSN, so I am
having to pay for it on my own.
But I am having alot of crashes with MSN Explorer 10.0
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b10/cmarlow/Websites%20I%20am%20on/Newsgroups/Microsoft/MSN/MSNExplorerVersion040210.jpg
I know that, or I have saw ( Some of the posts on this message board )
that some of you think that its kind of Redundant to pay 9.95 for MSN when
we have broadband but I have tried every browser out there and I find this
works the best for me so far besides the couple of crashes that I get
every once in awhile.
I get it mostly ( The crash ) when I am on facebook and I am trying to
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b10/cmarlow/Websites%20I%20am%20on/Newsgroups/Microsoft/MSN/MSNPremiumCrashed040210.jpg
I would like to know if any one else out there is having any issues
with flash apps and if so, what did you do to fix it. What are my choices
to fix it?
Thanks,
Christopher

If I have been following this thread correctly, the problem is with
flash10e.ocx and some Facebook application. I get that a lot, but with
Chrome it traps the faulting plug-in and error recovery is a lot more
graceful. Flash has another trick where it likes to hang going into full
screen mode with Farmville, but you can just kill it with Task Manager and
refresh the page. Although it is supposed to be supported, multiple
instances of Facebook apps using Flash is not really a good idea.

He'll figure the other thing out when he has to get a new email address
because of the spam.

Does the same occur when using IE(not MSn Explorer) ?
fyi...considering anti-spamming your email address(in OE under account
properties) when posting to a public forum to avoid your email address
from being harvested by spammers and marketers(to send mail to you and
using your email address to send mail to others with falsified email
headers)

Usually, when MSN Explorer crashes a whole bunch, the solution that seems to
resolve it most of the time is a full reinstall. Another possibility would be to
clear the local accounts, forcing a refresh with Ctrl-Shift-F11 at the login
screen. You can also contact MSN Support - http://support.msn.com
Have you checked to make sure that Flash is up to date by going to the Adobe
site? Do you have any issues with Flash if you use IE and not MSN Explorer?

Hi Earl,

I dont run but one FACEBOOK app at a time... Just for some reason when I
open a certain ( Facebook APP ) after MSN 10.0 has been open for more than
10 hours I get that crash.

Btw, I know how to use the MARK AS SPAM BUTTON, so I am not too worried
about spam =]

If I have been following this thread correctly, the problem is with
flash10e.ocx and some Facebook application. I get that a lot, but with
Chrome it traps the faulting plug-in and error recovery is a lot more
graceful. Flash has another trick where it likes to hang going into full
screen mode with Farmville, but you can just kill it with Task Manager and
refresh the page. Although it is supposed to be supported, multiple
instances of Facebook apps using Flash is not really a good idea.
He'll figure the other thing out when he has to get a new email address
because of the spam.

Does the same occur when using IE(not MSn Explorer) ?
fyi...considering anti-spamming your email address(in OE under account
properties) when posting to a public forum to avoid your email address
from being harvested by spammers and marketers(to send mail to you and
using your email address to send mail to others with falsified email
headers)

Ten hours? I would say that MSN Premium has a memory leak in it. The
workaround is to restart MSN before running this Facebook app. Once the
spam bots have passed your address around, your spam button won't be able to
keep up.

If I have been following this thread correctly, the problem is with
flash10e.ocx and some Facebook application. I get that a lot, but with
Chrome it traps the faulting plug-in and error recovery is a lot more
graceful. Flash has another trick where it likes to hang going into full
screen mode with Farmville, but you can just kill it with Task Manager
and refresh the page. Although it is supposed to be supported, multiple
instances of Facebook apps using Flash is not really a good idea.
He'll figure the other thing out when he has to get a new email address
because of the spam.

What are my choices
to fix it?
Thanks,
Christopher

Hi Winston,

I opened IE 8.0 twice now and logged in with Facebook and it hasnt crashed
( I am currently logged in with IE right now )

If this matters, I am using the DOWNLOADED version of MSN 10 from
Membercenter.msn.com I believe it is. I am still waiting to get my CD in the
mail

The reason I am using OE is because I didn't want to MIX my email up ( Which
I have WLM installed on my computer ) with the newsgroup stuff.

I guess I just like being organized. =]

What are my choices
to fix it?
Thanks,
Christopher
