Windows Live Hep and Support can be had at http://windowslivehelp.com

Check to see what your chosen picture is at http://profile.live.com and also
check your Windows Live Messenger options about using the same picture at all
locations - Tools/Options/Sign-in/General

Answered in the Windows Live Mail desktop newsgroup

Ensure you are completely signed out of all Live applications (web UI, Messenger, and any Windows Live Essential application-Mail,
PhotoGallery, Writer and Hotmail)
Ensure that your Windows Live ID in both Mail and Messenger is not configured to sign on automatically or remember your
username/password.

Open WLMsgr and change the display picture. (do not enable the 'Remember' options)
Once done, sign out of Messenger (not exit..completely sign out)

In IE go to Profile.live.com
Logon...(once again do not opt for any remember options)
Update your online profile with the same picture.
Sign off when done.

Open WLMsgr(and sign on with your Live ID)
Open WLM and sign on to Windows Live with the exact same Live ID used in WLMsgr
