Problems logging into HOTMAIL

[Stumped]

When I try to log into HOTMAIL, I get the error "The e-mail address or
password is incorrect. Please try again. ". I am using Win7/IE8, have
cleared COOKIES & CACHE. Works on other computers but not the one I am using
now.

I had previously found a link when doing BING searches trying to find a
solution. When I used the link to access HOTMAIL, that link had worked
previously. I failed to BOOKMARK the link, and cannot seem to find it again.
I had to open a new IE session & use that alternative link in order to be
able to access my HOTMAIL account. I can log into LOGIN.LIVE without issues.

Side Note: For the laptop I am using now, I have recently changed a number
of IE settings per guidance for being able to use a custom web-based
application. I know that this is causing the issue, but I need the settings
the way they are in order to use the custom web-based app. I'd like to find
the alternative HOTMAIL URL that worked previously. Look forward to the
help!

Help and Support for Windows Live Hotmail can be found at

There are two main URLs - www.hotmail.com and http://mail.live.com
In both cases, you need to login via https to the LiveID authentication servers
in order to proceed.

See if you can login at https://home.live.com or https://account.live.com before
going to Hotmail.

As for your IE settings, when you post to the Hotmail forum, be sure to list the
specific settings that you changed - since you know that this change is what is
causing the failure.

Alternatively, download and install Firefox or Google Chrome and access Hotmail
through them on that PC if you are loathe to change your IE settings.
