Deleting email messages from a secondary computer
(too old to reply)

I have two computers: desktop and laptop; both run Vista and MSN Explorer (thru Verizon). If I open and read an email on my desktop, I can delete it, and it goes to the trash folder in MSN email program on the desktop computer. If I empty the trash on the desktop computer, that email is gone. BUT - when I open my email on the laptop, many of the emails which I previously deleted using the desktop are still there. And what's worse, I can't delete them from the laptop - when I delete, they disappear for about ten seconds and then pop up again. These emails are hanging around somewhere on the MSN server, apparently. What can I do??

How old are the messages that you are trying to delete and that keep returning
on the 2nd computer? How long ago was the 2nd computer used to access the
account?

At the MSN Explorer Sign-in page *on the PC where the messages refuse to stay
deleted* press CTRL+Shift+F11 at the same time to reset the local account
information on that PC. Sign on when that is done. It will need to re-download
all server based data - mail and favorites.

If that does not work, contact MSN Support:
