MSN 9-Yuck

Ever since download update for 9, computer slower than mollasses in January.
Cannot find open second window in icon or text. Bing picture quality
terrible, cannot reset to previous date because display window is incomplete.
Big mistake.
Should have left well enough alone.

What update for 9 ?
Version 9.6 has been available for some time, I don't recall an update released. The last publicly commented patches impacting 9.6
were
- a patch/fix to IE and deployed in an IE cumulative update
- a patch for Calendar deployed at the server level, not locally
